The Sectional: Casual conversations with local transportation professionals – Come join us on The Sectional, the podcast where CAPSITE’s co-hosts bring together local transportation professionals to talk about local hot topics and today’s biggest issues in Washington, DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia, and beyond. In our first year we discussed funding for infrastructure improvements, VDOT megaprojects, the Bay Bridge, and the transportation technology marketplace. Sarah Gary - Sarah Gary is a Vice President at JMT in Hunt Valley, Maryland where she has worked in the traffic department for over 22 years. She is a 1997 graduate of the University of Kentucky. She has worked on numerous safety and operational projects including Virginia Avenue protected bike lane project, MD 2/4 in Prince Frederick, and I-95 Section 100. Sarah Lives in Towson, Maryland with her husband Devin and twin sons Grant and Devin. 

Eric Tang, PE, RSP2B, RSP1 – Eric is a Senior Highway Safety Engineer for VHB based in Washington, DC. Eric is the current webinar coordinator for ITE’s Safety Council. He has extensive experience with safety strategic planning, including developing Safe System-oriented plans at the state, regional, county, and city levels. He is a current member of the Transportation Research Board’s Standing Committee on Transportation Safety Management Systems and the City Transportation Issues Coordinating Council. Outside of work, he is either with his family at the playground or trying to check off sporting event bucket lists.

David Duarte - David Duarte, PE, PTOE is a Senior Associate at JMT in Hunt Valley, Maryland where he has worked for 10 years. David leads the traffic design team based in Maryland. He is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he first joined ITE. He has worked on numerous traffic design projects including the I-95 ETL Northbound Extension and has provided on-site consulting services with MDOT SHA at District 3 and the OOTS Traffic Development and Support Division. David previously led the Section as President in 2020. David lives in Baltimore, Maryland with his family and loves to travel and follow soccer.
